Job Title: Director, Cell Culture Process
Description:
Director of cell culture process will lead the development of the
cell culture processes suitable for cGMP manufacturing. Development
will include bioreactor process optimization to improve product
expression, product quality, and process robustness. Other
responsibilities also include troubleshooting of development/
manufacturing/ scale-up issues as well as supporting implementation of
process changes into manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering preferred.
Experience:
Relevant experience of 5-8yrs. Experience should consist of cell
culture process development including media development and bioreactor
development in industrial setting. Demonstrated accomplishment of
developing robust, scalable cell culture processes is expected.
Special
skills/ Abilities: Candidate must have comprehensive
understanding of cell culture development principles including medium
design, feed strategies, cell biology, biochemistry, bioreactor
operation and control and scale-up/ scale-down principles. Must also
have extensive knowledge of cGMP and US FDA regulations. Knowledge of
other areas in biopharmaceutical process development - purification,
formulation, analytical methods, -is desirable.

Description:
This position serves as a Special Project Administrator for the
Biospecimen Research Network (BRN) in the Office of Biorepositories and
Biospecimen Research (OBBR), Office of the Director, National
Cancer Institute
(NCI). Will have responsibility for assisting the BRN Program Director
in the scientific coordination and outreach for a full range of
biospecimen research projects and activities. Will create project
implementation plans for biospecimen research initiatives, develop
summaries for meetings and/or teleconferences and track action items
and assist with development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for
Biospecimen collection, processing, and storage. Support and coordinate
the preparation of solicitations for research and support contract
implementation and management phase and coordinate, organize, and
present data relating to biospecimen research. Develop summary and
