Job Opening at WuXi PharmaTech, Shanghai, China
TITLE:
Lab Head/Director, Biochemistry and Cell Biology
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This
position will lead a group of in vitro biologists, working on primary
screening, secondary/functional studies, and mechanism of action and
biomarker research to support small molecule drug discovery
programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide biology supports to drug discovery programs

Design experimental approaches, define scientific models and processes,
conduct exploratory activities, and analyze and interpret the results
- Develop various primary screening assays and secondary cell-based assays
- Supervise lab scientists
- Prepare reports and present data at meetings
- Remain up to date scientifically and technically in his/her specific field and train lab associates
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Biochemistry or related field

Overseas industrial or academic post-doctoral experience is
required. Recent overseas graduates with exceptional qualities
will be considered for a lead
scientist level position
- Oversea industrial discovery biology experience would be an advantage
- English: good presentation and writing skills
