Job
Title: Director of Medicinal Chemistry Location: Beijing,
China – Position #138
Role/Responsibilities:
The
main focus of this role is to manage a high performance department of
20-30 Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. chemists providing chemistry services to
Bioduro's clients. Key activities will include the assessment of
projects and the generation of cost quotes for potential customer
projects in coordination with the business development team based in
the USA. The director will coordinate all projects reporting with the
business development team and participate in all project team meetings
with collaborators. Additionally, the director will be responsible for
the hiring, performance evaluation and professional development
activities for the department.
Profile:
Qualified
candidates will have a Ph. D. in chemistry with 1-2 years of
post-doctoral research experience and 5-12 years of industrial
experience in medicinal chemistry with a CRO, biotechnology, and/or
pharmaceutical company including both supervisory and project
management experience. Alliance management and cross-functional team
management experience is also considered valuable to the position but
not required. Additionally, successful candidates should have a strong
scientific track record of publications and patents.

Title: Group Leader of Medicinal Chemistry Location: Beijing,
China – Position #139
Role/Responsibilities:
The
main focus of this role is to manage a high performance group of 5 to
10 Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. chemists providing chemistry services to
Bioduro's clients. The successful group leader will be responsible for
the hiring, performance evaluation and professional development
activities for the group. The Group Leader will work with the
Director to coordinate all projects reporting with the business
development team and participate in all project team meetings with
collaborators.
Profile:
Qualified
candidates will have a Ph. D. in chemistry with 1-2 years of
post-doctoral research experience and 3-5 years of industrial
experience in medicinal chemistry with a CRO, biotechnology, and/or
pharmaceutical company including supervisory experience.
Additionally, successful candidates should have a strong scientific
track record of publications and patents.
Job
Title: Group Leader of Pharmacology Location: Beijing, China
– Position #142
Role/Responsibilities:
The
main focus of this function is to manage a highly motivated team of
five to ten Ph.D., Masters or B.Sc. level biologists, engaged in
providing pharmacological study support for all of BioDuro’s
clients. Key activities will include establishing in vitro assays for
both enzymes and cell based assays, including receptor ligand binding
assays. The successful candidate will work with colleagues to
evaluate resource needs, estimate costs, and design, implement and
deliver results for customer projects. Additionally, the Group Leader
will be responsible for the hiring, performance evaluation and
professional development activities for the group.
Profile:
Qualified
candidates should have a Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a comparable and
relevant academic qualification, plus one to two years post-doctoral
experience. Three to five years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology
industry experience in research is essential, as is a functional
knowledge of English. The candidate must be experienced in designing,
implementing and interpreting in vitro pharmacology assays.
Supervisory management experience and familiarity with cross functional
team work are highly desired.
Successful candidates
should also embody the following qualities: •
experience in independently developing, optimizing, and validating
assays, • in-depth
theoretical and practical knowledge in assay development, •
familiarity with standard assay technologies including radiometric,
flouorescence, and chemiluminescence. •

Position #143
Role/Responsibilities:
The
main focus of this role is to manage a high performance group of 1 to 3
M.S., or B.S. biologists providing rodent efficacy services in the
areas of oncology, metabolism and/or neuroscience (i.e., pain) to
Bioduro's clients. The successful scientist will be responsible for the
hiring, performance evaluation and professional development activities
for their group. The Scientist will work with their
supervisor to coordinate all projects reporting with the business
development team and participate in all project team meetings with
collaborators, providing input on in vivo rodent efficacy to aid in the
progress of the company.
Profile:
Qualified
candidates will have a Ph. D. in biology or a related field with 2
years of post-doctoral research experience in the fields of oncology,
metabolism, and/or neuroscience (i.e., pain) in the pharmaceutical
industry or academia. Additionally, successful candidates

Title: Director, Business Development Locations:
Europe – Position #135 United States (NJ/PA area)
– Position #136
Role/Responsibilities:
These
are key positions at BioDuro as they encompass both external customer
representation of the company as well as internal management of people,
skills and resources. The current two open positions are located in
Europe and North America (NJ/PA area). A very important function of
this role is to expand BioDuro’s service market share with
biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, by marketing an overall
package of high quality, cost effective services from discovery and
pre-clinical, including primary screening, a range of chemistry
capabilities, PK-PD, ADME-Tox., through to clinical trial management.
The business development activities entail developing customer leads
and marketing BioDuro’s services, followed by initial project
evaluation and design, coordination with overseas research teams (based
in China, India, etc.) for detailed project assessment to finalize
timelines and estimate cost. The director is responsible for ensuring
all customer requirements are accommodated in projects undertaken,
final contract negotiations, execution and delivering a timely and high
quality service. The director will also provide full project management
services to the customer, coordinating all communications with the
scientific team and ensuring customer satisfaction, thereby maximizing
the opportunities for repeat business and long-term collaboration. The
job will entail travel to Beijing and within the US for approximately
20-30% of the time, and matrix management of three to five directors
based overseas, who will be part of the project teams and represent
specific areas of expertise, such as PK, chemistry, ADME-toxicology,
etc.
Professional Profile:
Qualified
candidates will have a Ph.D. in chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology,
MD, DVM or an advanced degree in a related field, with 1-2 years of
post-doctoral research experience and 10-15 years of industrial
experience with a CRO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical company,
including both supervisory and project management experience. Whereas
deep drug development experience with a track record of accomplishment
in regulatory compliance, documentation, and IND/NDA filings, and a
thorough technical understanding of the entire R&D process is
critical, alliance management and business development experience is
highly desirable. Additional assets include a strong scientific track
record with publications and patents. Skills:
Communication
and Marketing: As the key external face of BioDuro, this individual
must have excellent oral and written communication skills to convey the
company value proposition to customers and a strong commitment to
customer service. He/she must be facile at using communication and
relationship building to secure, manage and maintain critical external
and internal business partnerships. Procuring customer contracts will
be a major measure of success, as will the ability to retain customers
via repeat business.
Leadership: Demonstrated
ability to manage a cross-functional, cross-cultural and geographically
dispersed team with vision, integrity, flexibility and open
communication is critical. This will require exceptional inter-personal

Job Title: Vice
President of Clinical Operations Location: Beijing, China
– Position #137
Role/Responsibilities:
This
individual must design, implement and manage clinical trials to test
therapeutics in humans. He/She must be intimately familiar with
regulatory guidelines and is responsible for FDA compliance and GMP in
all activities. This person must also establish and grow a network of
extremely high quality hospitals and principal investigators who will
participate in the clinical trials. Responsibilities include
investigator training, site contract negotiation, site and trial
management, monitoring data quality and patient enrollment, data
collection, analysis and writing of protocols and reports.
Profile:
MD
or equally relevant degree with 15 years of experience managing
clinical trials in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is required,
as is facility with English, both written and oral. A clear understand
the entire drug development process, with direct technical, operational
and regulatory expertise in clinical trial design, protocol writing,
investigator sign up, site management, clinical research associate
supervision, data analysis and reporting is essential. The applicant
must have been part of at least three NDA filings.
